Lost in Slime
A downloadable game for Windows
Lost in Slime is a third person platformer where you play as a slime with the ability of sticking to surfaces. You also have some light combat and movement abilities such as jump, dash and a slam attack.
The slime movement was inspired by a shader that one of the team members had seen. After some experimentation it soon evolved into a full-fledged movement prototype. The final game has inspiration from platformers such as Super Mario Galaxy, since the slime’s ability of sticking to any surface makes way for some fun rotational platforming. The dashing and jumping also allows for fun fast-paced traversal across the levels. The project was made without dedicated artists and most of the assets are store-bought.
This was a school project that was the 4th Game Project for us at FutureGames, it took 4 weeks. This project had no dedicated artists, so most of the assets were store-bought.
